Since the introduction of a digital asset management system (CELUM) at Clariant, brix:anura has played a central role. The extension enables direct and seamless integration of digital content into the company's website, especially in the brand portal area and in Microsoft PowerPoint. Employees and external partners are given access to the required media, while the approval processes for sensitive content are guaranteed.
Find out what additional benefits have resulted from the brix:anura integration and the «Upload Request» extension.

With the brix:anura API, Clariant is able to provide up-to-date and customer-relevant content directly.
The brix:anura API also enables smooth integration into the office environment. This is realised by using the brix:anura API in conjunction with Brandic, a PowerPoint add-on from Zigware. This makes it possible to insert digital assets in the appropriate format directly from the DAM system into PowerPoint.
Clariant successfully uses brix:anura by presenting its PDF product brochures as an organised collection on its website through a multi-faceted search via brix:anura, see example.
Expanding the use of the brix:anura API opens up numerous other possibilities. A proof of concept (POC) carried out last year showed that the brix:anura API is ideally suited to integrating a large number of documents, such as PDFs of product brochures and factsheets that are centrally managed in digital asset management (DAM), directly and up-to-date into websites so that they can be retrieved at any time.
Thanks to the duplicate check via «Upload Request», which recognises duplicates based on both the file name and the binary file (checksum), new versions can be created directly during the upload, speeding up the entire workflow from creator to consumer.
Content for the respective channel is simply uploaded directly to the DAM via a link, and publication on the various channels is controlled via the associated product metadata. In this way, it is possible to upload PDF documents within seconds and automatically make them available on the website for the respective product, where they are offered to end customers for download.
The brix:anura API and the extensions «Asset Order» and «Upload Request» have proven to be powerful extensions for Clariant's DAM system – in this case CELUM. The seamless integration of media and the ability to efficiently manage different content types can also contribute to increased efficiency, productivity and ease of use with other DAM systems.
